Good question. As for us we tend to want to spend when we get depressed and right now were depressed because we can't spend:) It's a vicious cycle.

Anyway, it's been proven that opposites attract, but don't stay together for the long run most of the time. I'm assuming this would include financial reasons too.

Actually, the NYT story says that opposites don't attract except in the category of spending! (Beats me who is right, though.)

I can certainly vouch for it , having had that be the main issue that led to mt divorce.
