My neighbor wasn't attacked by her doctor -- he merely condescended to her -- is seeking a new pediatrician after mildly asking about the vaccination controversy. She was at her 1-year checkup for the baby, and her mother, a nurse in Australia, was visiting and went along. My neighbor, who was more curious than skeptical, kind of off-hand asked the doc why he thought the US was pushing flu vaccines so hard when other countries -- UK, Australia, etc. -- were not. His reply (with an Aussie R.N. family member standing right there): "They'll catch up."

I don't blame your neighbor for switching.
