This is funny because my son just bought a cactus at Home Depot for $1.29. He's so proud of his little 3-inch cactus. Wait 'til I show him these pictures. Size does matter! :)

It does if you run into spines. You should see how long some of those things get.

A cactus is what brought my wife and I together 17 years ago. It was about 4" tall.

The ones in your photos are kind of scary. And your kids are adorable! Glad you made it out on a hike...

Great pictures as usual. I forgot how big those things get. I haven't been in the desert since 1979.

The kids, as always are very cute. I remember when my kids were little "peanuts" and I miss those days.

Yeah, I don't want them to grow up! Well, I do, but you know what I mean.

I know... I know... My daughter hit high school this year. Makes me want to cry. Enjoy them as much as you can.
