Glad to see you enjoying a classic Chicago winter break. If you make it up to the Dells in the summer, be sure to check out the Paul Bunyan!

Nice to meet another Chicago parent-blogger. Your kids are adorable.

Thanks. And cute kids!

I ordered two Cybils winners for my nieces; Amelia and the Victorian melodrama.

Wow. Thanks!

Sounds like you had an awesome time. The idea of an indoor water park is a little bit mindblowing to this Arizona boy, as I'm sure you can imagine, but it looks like they pull it off well out there. The kids are adorable also, and I think Justin and Lael have the same kind of hair -- we may have to compare styling tips. ;)

I'm lucky that I've lived in Arizona and the Midwest. I've gone tubing down the Salt River as well as indoor water parks.

As to Lael, I untangle all the knots in her silky hair while it's wet in the bath. I use a special comb for knots while holding her hair so it doesn't hurt.

I remember seeing a show on the Travel Channel about those water parks in Wisconsin. We wanted to go so bad. But now we're getting spoiled up here in North Idaho with one new indoor water park and two more set to open in the next year. This must be the latest craze or something. With more than six months of un-summerlike weather, I'm surprised it's taken this long for venues like this to be built.

Yeah, me too. I think what happened is The Dells was in disrepair and eventually invented the industry to save itself. Now, there a dozen such parks in the town itself. But... they're a victim of their own success.
