How'd the coloring with crayons go?

What was your original plan? Do you have a sketch?

Sketch? Nah, I wanted to pretend I was Frank Gehry, i.e. it's all in my head baby.

My vision was a two-deck building (kid decks that is) with stairs made out of tiny boxes and Thomas train tracks running around the upper level.

Most of the coloring looks like scribbles so far. I keep forgetting how young my kids are.

It doesn't help that all the crayon nibs have been chewed off. I expect to see rainbows when I change Lael's diaper next. Ew.

Ah, that explains the crunchy things under my feet this morning.

Well, the best-laid plans, as they say.

Yup.
