Seth bravely ate fried zucchini for the first time.

What a coincidence! My son ate zucchini bread for the first time last week. He loved it.

Glad to hear your trip went well. Sometimes returning back to things for a brief moment will give you lots of peace and composure.

And you'll have to tell me what all the fuss is about Burt's Bees. I've heard people swear by it, but it costs 3 times as much as Chapstick and I lose those things too much to want to kick myself over dropping 3.50 down the drain after a couple of uses.

Phil: Seth was a bit more hesitant. It will be a few more weeks before he "loves" it. That's just how he is.

Mark: Oh, it's just the organic/healthy thing. Chapstick is made in part from petroleum-based chemicals (Vaseline) and Burt's Bees is made from Beeswax and other organic products.

Well, doh, Mark, you're not spending $15 a lipstick, are you? So at $3.50 for a tinted lip gloss, it's a bargain. My favorite color? Rhubarb! Yummy.

I can, without fail, irritate my wife by referring to Carl's Jr's fried zucchini as a health food. (Actually, I haven't eaten that much of it lately, which I guess is a good sign.)

She's right of course. But getting my kid to eat zucchini, even disguised, is worth the effort.
