Our back yard is looking like fruit salad because we haven’t had time to harvest the apricot and peach trees.
Our kids wake up earlier during the summer months, giving us less time to write … and sleep.
Expect an explosion of activity in our household starting in about a week.
There have been two recent – but distant – deaths in my family.
It’s easy to believe in global warming considering how warm this summer has been in Southern California.
Tonight we go on a real date to eat dinner and see An Inconvenient Truth.
Our pile of kids books is growing out of control again.
I finally installed Picasa on our computer.
My wife has become obsessed with learning how to trade using Investopedia.
I would kill for a quiet day off from the rest of the universe.
I am NOT obsessed. I just had so much luck with BlogShares, I figured how hard could this be?
Okay, it's very hard.
But kinda fun too, at least until I have to put up real money.

Anne: Not real money, yet.
Chip: Yeah, Picasa is pretty good, though now you have to deselect all the Google stuff you don't want.

Our kids do the opposite... They still wake up at the same time every morning (usually around 7:30). But they are staying up later and later. We get them to bed at the same time each night, but they're having trouble falling asleep. Which is strange because they are more active than ever. Must be something about the sun being up until 9:30 or so.
I'm a big fan of Picasa... Use it every day to organize, resize, crop, improve colors and contrast, etc. Oh yeah, and to BACK UP OUR PHOTOS! You know the importance of that last one.
A quiet day off? I'd like to go to one of those Survivor beaches and just sit there for a week or two doing nothing. I wouldn't even mind the bugs and snakes.
