Floridians kill pedestrians because they're all old and can't see the hell over the steering wheels. I've seen roadside memorials spring up on stretches of sidewalk that weren't anywhere near intersections or crosswalks -- the drivers had veered off the road and flattened someone against a fence. Then there was the guy who was sitting in a lawn chair by a swimming pool at Century City when an old man drove through the fence, over the lawn chair and into the pool. The old man survived, lawn chair guy did not.

And Florida lets 80-year-olds renew their drivers licenses by mail for 10 years without even an eye test.
